Out now, this latest single from trail blazing Londoner Vanilla Ace bears the signature of the man everyone’s talking about. The ‘Ladykiller’ single is available through Erase records and bears Vanilla’s signature – new jack swing-infused nu disco. Vintage ’90s dance piano progressions with a new jack bass, plenty of disco strings, a filtered-down, looping melody and stonewashed vocal snips.
At the forefront of a current revival of sounds from the ’80s and ’90s, Vanilla is carving a clear path to the soul of the house landscape that others have started to follow; armed his trademark ability to mix and blend the music that has dominated the club scene on both sides of the Atlantic in and around the turn of the millennium
Always ready to embrace the future, we’re starting to see more and more one track releases get sent through to us here at TNG Towers. Generally it’s not a great sign as the release has less to offer and usually is less well-rounded making it ultimately more readily dismissed. Besides we love a good remix! The plus side is you’re not paying money for additional tracks you might not be feeling however, this track is well worth the outlay on its own.
