Chicago based band Peppermint Heaven have pulled out all the stops on an incredible new remix package.. Employing the heavy, twisted production skills of drum and bass royalty Lynx & Chords. Both artists, signed to the legendary Hospital Records and RAM Records respectively.
Since emerging at the forefront of the drum & bass scene in 2007, Lynx has established a reputation for high quality productions with an innovative edge and DJ sets to match. His new remix of ‘Talk To Me’ begins with a classic power build that will be a frequent set-starter in the clubs over the coming months, we’re then treated to an unexpectedly tech influenced drop.. With a growling mid-range bass that will pull in love from the Calyx & Teebee faithful.
South London born Chris Ansah aka Chords – Spent years getting his sound right and honing his production skills led to him being courted by some of the biggest names in D&B, including collaborations with the legendary Matrix on Metro Recordings and remixing Cyantific for Hospital Records.
In a rare departure from the drum and bass sound, Chords has brought his distinctively contorted bass sounds to a a lower tempo remix. On the intro, you would be forgiven for thinking this was a track by Justice or Nero. The south London producer makes intricate use of arpeggio synths & trance-style chords.. The breakdown builds exquisitely & on the drop, the original vocal line cuts through the mix perfectly.
