We got together for a chat with Mancunion production duo System2, aka Tez and Danny, about their re-emergence into the house scene after ten years producing together as electronic duo H2.
Following previous releases on labels such as Cecile, Get Physical and Defected, the pair decided to quit as H2 following a show in France and start afresh under a new moniker. Following a year of silence, they have now decided to reveal who they used to be.
With their new track Movin (previously a vinyl-only release but now available digitally) charting in Beatports top 10 this week, the pair continue to prove that great music comes from the heart and not from the mind of a businessman.
On top of discussing their track and its new accompanying edit, we asked Tez and Danny about their early clubbing experiences and what they thought of Manchester’s scene now.
