Chronovision has just released the 18th edition of its podcast series, this time mixed by Argentinian, Elio Riso, a rising star on the white isle where this summer he played at Space for Carl Cox’s Revolution Recruits.
It was In 2005 that Pete Tong named Elio’s tracks ‘To Be Or Not To Be’ and ‘I Like The New Beat’ as “Big Tunes”, including them in his Essential Mix Chart on BBC Radio 1. This helped get Elio into UK dance music publications and quickly led to international acclaim.
Without limiting himself to house, tech house, or techno, Elio Riso filters a variety of genres into his particular style, which has developed throughout his years of experience as a DJ, producer and remixer. With melodies as well as underground vibes, his eclectic sound is recognised across South America, as well as in Ibiza, where he holds summer residencies at Be@Space, among others.
