The latest NexGen Music release comes straight from the fingers of label boss Dirty-D, who lets his breakbeat influences take control on hectic drum & bass EP Feelin’ Moody.
Operating under one of many production monikers, D.A twists breaks out of shape over classic rave shapes on the title track before cruising into the Ed Rush and Optical-esque ‘Do You Love Me?’ a classic high-energy stepper.
The second half of the record gets dark and spiky, a pair of high-octane tracks which let the breaks take over to power some intelligent jump-up, spliced with a vintage rave vibe.
It’s no surprise that the record has a genuine old-school taste to it – it’s put together using unfinished bits from as far back as the late 90’s, buffed up to today’s standards.
