Zella Day – ‘Compass’ (Louis The Child Remix)

Chicago-based producers Louis The Child have released a remix of Zella Day’s ‘Compass’ through their SoundCloud page. Despite only having been up for a day, the rework has already amassed well over 10,000 plays on the streaming service.

Harnessing their own compelling future bass sound on this remix, Louis The Child told us that they “imagined writing for an orchestra of synths” whilst putting the rework together. Opening with Zella Day’s enchanting vocals set over bubbling synth melodies and a sparse kick drum, as the drop comes in at around a minute in the remix really comes into its own powered by a strong bassy drum beat and a vast array of intertwining synths.
