Tsunga – ‘Maris Piper / B More Dog’ [Black Acre]

Tsunga powers straight ahead with two slices of rave-bunker busting artillery.

Bristolian label Black Acre are firm favourites with us here at TNG. Having already a strong roster of releases under their belt including beats from Fantastic Mr Fox, Romare and Dark Sky, not to mention Clap! Clap!’s highly successful LP debut Tayi Bebba. Their next release comes from thrifty newcomer Tsunga, who began his attack on the dancefloor under the wing of Scratcha last year with Feisar, which melds a 92’ hardcore sensibility with a grime edge.

Set to drop both digitally and in clear vinyl 12″ format, A cut Maris Piper was premiered by Boiler Room just last week. Featuring fine chop and twist work, the track brings classic jungle techno into the future with hefty low-end surges and persistent, head-knocking breaks. On the flip B More Dog sees Tsunga come in harder with military grade drum programming and acid stabs.
