This summer Danny Tenaglia will make his Liverpool debut at what is set to be a very special show – and it’s got all of us here at The Noise Gate tingling with excitement!
Friday 17th June sees not only a true dance music icon gracing The Garage’s decks, but also one of its very transcendental figures who crafts pure magic weaving across house, disco and quite literally anything he wishes to play, from Michael Jackson to straight-up pounding techno.
He is often cited as the DJ’s DJ – quite literally, the DJ everyone else wants to see in action. Danny’s roots run very deep, as a bastion of NYC’s club scene from the early 90s and joining the dots between many of its most renowned clubs. From frequenting the Paradise Garage to see Larry Levan in his youth, to his own residencies at Twilo, The Tunnel, and Vinyl, his Be Yourself party become an ethos not just for clubs but many people’s lives in general, and his eclecticism across his joyously extended sets flourished.
Danny is quite simply one of the best, a DJ, producer and remixer (everything from Green Velvet’s Flash to Depeche Mode’s I Feel Loved) who creates true musical journeys on the dance floors where ever he goes, creating a rites-of-passage experience like no other. And now he is coming to Liverpool for the very first time, to play an extended set at The Garage which is evolving into one of the city’s leading electronic music spaces, with a brand new mezzanine space and Funktion One sound.
Support comes from Selador’s Dave Seaman and Steve Parry, and Cream Reunion DJs and promoters Stuart Hodson and Samuel Lamont.
