Spatial Awareness – The Healing Dust (Hottwerk Records)

Ahead of the release of debut album “Transmissions From A Landlocked Island” comes brand new single “The Healing Dust” from Spatial Awareness – a joyous acid house dancefloor excursion. “The Healing Dust” comes backed with the contrastingly sinister “I Think I’m Dead”, the heavy counterpart to the album track “I Think I’m Alive”.

Spatial Awareness has been finding favour with his sonic alchemy in the
studio, behind the decks, and with acclaimed live sets.
Recent releases look set to cement his position as a rising talent of electronic music – original tracks on Chicago’s highly-respected Twirl! label, London’s Zombie Soundsystem (featuring a stomping remix from the legendary Ray Okpara), Fetch Records, and his label home Hottwerk, sit next to remixes for Boy George, Shaun J Wright & Alinka, Miaoux Miaoux, Severino & Faber, and many more.
His tracks and remixes have received much radio play on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, Rinse, Kiss (amongst others) and dj support across the globe from a diverse array of tastemakers from Fatboy Slim to Tony Humphries, Martin Landsky to Groove Armada, Danny Daze to Boy George.
Filtered and distilled, the sounds of house, acid, techno, disco, funk and soul are all shades to be found within the electronic, eclectic palette of Spatial Awareness; ever the analogue enthusiast, taking influence from the many disciplines of disco history, armed with a brace of vintage synthesizers and a lifetime’s experience of digging through dusty crates full of vinyl.
Having started the year in exquisite style playing at the BBC 6Music Festival in Bristol, forthcoming gigs including a Live tour of the UK, and a DJ tour of the US are making 2016 look to be a very exciting year indeed for Spatial Awareness.
