Multi-award winning British-Japanese producer Maya Jane Coles greets 2015 with the first video single from her dark, dubby and bass-driven alter ego Nocturnal Sunshine.
Plumbing new depths with this significantly grittier project, Maya is turning upside down the ingrained conceptions of her as an artist that exist within the music industry. Completely self-produced, her self-titled Nocturnal Sunshine LP debut will be released through her I/AM/ME label May 25th via Kobalt Label Services.
The new single Take Me There is accompanied by an ethereal video direction by The Fashtons. The track has already seen a digital release at the beginning of March, but is set to apear in limited edition 12″ format just in time for Record Store Day. Backed with the (otherwise unavailable) track Never Too Late, we don’t expect this special slice of wax to be hanging around on the shelves for too long.
