#LVL07: Levelz Drop New Track and Video

“This is how we party in Manchester raving”

Manchester’s Levelz are rising. The crew of producers and emcees have spent the past year throwing parties, stirring things up with their cyphers and Rinse FM take-overs (the most recent involving antics with a stretch hummer, Boris bikes, and the group’s “kidnapping” of a Mixmag journalist in the hours following their show).

Having teased fans with video stills and clips since the summer, slipping the new single to Madam X at BPM and other Manchester heads before delivering a live performance of #LVL07 at their recent Vans-sponsored party at 2022NQ; anticipation has been building for time and finally the wait is over.

The new track and accompanying video – mixed down by none other than Zed Bias – dropped on Monday and has already racked up over 20,000 views online. Featuring a schizophrenic, grimey beat from Biome and vocals from T-Man, Sparkz, Skittles, Fox, Truthos Mufasa, Chimpo, Chunky & Black Josh; Levelz come through with one of the biggest tunes of the year just in time to poke their way into the forthcoming onslaught of ‘best of 2014’ lists.

The single will drop as a free download on December 22nd, with a mixtape set to follow in the new year (additional productions to come from Chimpo, Dub Phizix, Jonny Dub, Metrodome, Werkha, Bricks, Walton and Rich Reason).
