Global Gathering Cancelled For 2015

Midlands dance festival Global Gathering will not take place in 2015, according to the official website.

The festival, which takes place at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford-Upon-Avon will take its first break in 13 years to review all elements of the event, “to ensure Global Gathering remains at the heart of the UK dance market”.

Officials say that this will in no way affect any of the associated events, including Global Gathering Presents at The Institute, Digbeth this New Year’s Eve. The event will see Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac alongside chart toppers Rudimental amongst other special guests that are yet to be announced.

Global Gathering first took place in 2001 and has been held on the last weekend of July every year. The festival won the award for Best UK Festival twice in DJ Magazine and its Birmingham event MADE was nominated for Best Metropolitan Festival at the UK Festival Awards after taking place for the first time at the Rainbow Arena in Digbeth this year.
