Festival season is upon us, and our bank balances are already cowering at the thought. If you’re looking for bass on a budget, Field Trip might be just up your street.
Set amongst the picturesque landscape of Ilkley Moor, Field Trip promises to provide the perfect mix of high profile dance acts whilst offering local talent the opportunity to perform without clashing with any of your pre-booked festival plans! Field Trip falls perfectly in between Global Gathering and Creamfields (or Leeds, or Reading, or Shambala, or any of the other 200 festivals on that weekend).
Field Trip is in its debut year and gained momentous support in its first 48 hours on Facebook; reaching over 1000 likes in just 48 hours! Not bad for a mere 1,500 capacity.
The highlight of the itinerary and a must for any festival lover is the Igloo Disco. It might not look much on the outside, but step inside to witness quite possibly the most fascinating ceiling display you’ve ever seen. The festival boasts seven arenas in total, all with a different theme, and if the music gets a bit much (yeah right) there are plenty of other less strenuous activities to check out – all locally sourced from the Leeds area (mud wrestling, anyone?).
Leave your crap sandwiches and car-boot-baked sausage rolls at home – Field Trip has hand selected the best in local street food. Oh, and there’s cider festival as well.
One other thing – the line up’s looking pretty dapper too! With Dub Pistols Live, Bodikka and Ben UFO to name a few, Field Trip’s music motto is “quality, not quantity, not just what’s hot at the minute”. Go home with a new DJ in mind for a change, instead of the same old story about the same old DJs that play the same old festivals. Remember that time you stumbled into the wrong tent and fell in love with music all over again?
Field Trip aims to broaden our musical horizons and show off Northern culture, and for £75 for the whole weekend plus camping, who are we to say no to that?
The Noise Gate has one pair of Field Trip Festival tickets to give away! Just like and share this link on Facebook for a chance to win (don’t forget to tag The Noise Gate).
