The team at Love International have today revealed their fist stage announcement for the Olive Grove this summer.
Once a shade-dappled area with a modest sound system, last year the area was transformed into a spectacular space during the day and night, with its own disco-balled and glittery identity resplendent under the sun and stars, and plenty of booming bass through a seriously beefed up sound system. The Olive Grove bounces from midday all the way through to the early hours, bringing a dynamic new dimension to the site, partly redolent of DC-10’s early carefree days in Ibiza. As everyone dances under a canopy of camouflage netting, there’s a renewed sense of escapism that only dancing outside can bring. Labels, collectives and guests curate shows from Thursday to Tuesday, running from midday to 7pm then from 7pm – 1am.
Tom Paine, one of Love International’s co-founders, explains: “In all the work we do we are always looking to refine and enhance the experience for everyone, and at Love International we felt we knew how we could really create something special at the Olive Grove.
“In just one year it has quickly evolved into one of the areas all our artists want to play at, and it creates this new and exciting energy across the site. So we are really happy with the way it is developing, and again have brought in some great hosts for the days and nights, from Optimo playing all night to some of Croatia’s finest taking over one afternoon. It’s a great place to hear a bit of anything – pretty much anything goes, so long as it sounds good!”
