A quick run through of news from the festival world. If you’ve not already, check out our series of guides as they roll out over the coming weeks as well as the EXIT, Parklife and Outlook ones already up.
Electric Elephant have added two further acts to a solid line up for the more intimate and delicately curated festival. Tom Findlay of Groove Armada and Simian Mobile Disco will both be dropping DJ sets in July, joining the likes of Chez Damier, Derrick May, Francois K and FCL at the Croatian festival. Tickets are still available at £120 and for an extra £30 they’ll sort you tickets to both Electric Elephant and sister session Garden Festival.
Last week Germany’s Melt! Festival (pictured) revealed 20 new acts to their already impressive schedule. Detroit legend and Axis supremo Jeff Mills is set to feature as well as Seth Troxler, Maya Jane Coles and the Martinez Brothers among those bolstering the lineup for Europe’s ‘Best Medium-sized Festival’ in July. Moderat, Four Tet, Dapayk & Padberg and Subb-an are also worthy of a mention, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. Three days of music in Ferropolis will set you back about £115 at current exchange rates.
EXIT have unveiled a fresh batch of artists performing on their X-Bass Main Stage. As you might have guessed from the name, this lineup is mostly dubstep and drum & bass with a bit of electro and grime thrown in for good measure. Dnb stalwart Andy C tops a bill that includes Gorgon City, My Nu Lang and Sub Focus. Set in a Serbian fortress, tickets for the July event start at £95.
Now feast your ears on some of these names in action…
