Event Preview: Glitterbox @ Manchester’s Albert Hall

On Sunday 6th May, iconic Ibizan party – Glitterbox – is coming to Manchester’s Albert Hall for a night of disco and decadence, in association with Manchester Pride.

Glitterbox’s 21st century disco is said to define the true meaning of ‘dance music’, and the event will see resident DJs Joey Negro, Todd Terry and Purple Disco Machine take to the stage.

There will also be performances from Asttina Mandella, Lewis Game and Raven Mandella.

Four years after its birth, Glitterbox has become a unique clubbing experience both in its home of Ibiza and on an international scale. It has featured stages at We Are FSTVL, Liverpool Disco Festival and Defected Croatia to name a few.

Joey Negro is known as being one of the first artists to incorporate disco samples in house music when he began his production career in 1988. With over 200 productions, albums and hit singles, he is a master of his trade. No doubt tracks ‘Make A Move On Me’ and ‘Must Be The Music’ will be popular with the crowd.

Todd Terry will also be playing contemporary and classic disco hits, such as his 1995 remix ‘Missing’. The Grammy Award nominee has made a name for himself with his mixes of Annie Lennox, George Michael and Bjork singles.

Providing ‘deep funk’ vibes, Purple Disco Machine is sure to get the audience fist pumping. Whilst the ‘voice’ of Glitterbox, Melvo Baptiste’s strict diet of soul, rare groove, funk and disco will bring an Ibiza feel to a Manchester venue.

Defining the true meaning of ‘dance music’ in 2018, Glitterbox’s 21st century disco will move your mind your body and your soul.

Tickets are available here.
