Studio 338 continue to serve up standout events and one-of-a-kind acts with the news that beatboxing and live music production sensation Beardyman will be performing at the South London space on July 8th. 

The show will take place on Studio 338’s miraculous inner city beach, complete with cabanas, decking areas and tropical style bars. It will be the first time Beardyman has ever performed on a sandy stage and is sure to bring plenty of sunshine into your life even if the actual sun is hiding (don’t worry, the whole beach is covered by a network of protective sails so you will be dry despite any potential rain.) It will feature an afterparty on the terrace, a sunset happy hour at the bar between 6 and 8pm and great food and cocktails on the beach before the show starts. 

As for Beardyman himself, the 34 year old North London born beatboxer has been out in a class of one his whole career. In order to make his show even more special, he developed his own production system, The Beardytron 5000, which allows him to create cutting edge, real time studio quality music on the fly, as and when he wants, all before your very eyes and ears. His shows are partly awe inspiring vocal magic, part technologically impressive feats of layering and looping, part spectacle, part comedy. He variously explodes into life, dances about, acts out his parts, stops and jokes with his crowd or plays with musical stereotypes. He can do fuzzy guitars, rib rattling bass, grunge vocals, soulful crooning, vinyl scratching, melodies and pretty much anything you can imagine as well as plenty you can’t even.
