Parisian producer Naibu brings some French flair to his remixes of two Silent Dust tracks, which flip hip-hop vibes into drum & bass rollers.
Over the past few years Silent Dust have made no secret of their sonic experiments, and over the course of their journeys away from drum & bass they wracked up some hip-hop flavoured tracks with vocals from Michigan rapper SelfSays.
And it’s two of these that made their way into Naibu’s doubtless achingly stylish studio – ‘Population, Me’ gets an icy liquid reworking, and ‘My Only Option’, which also features Jon1st, stomps hard and kicks a little nearer the face.
Naibu is nearly a decade in to his d&b career, and has seen radio support from Fabio, London Elektricity and Goldie, as well as support from outside the scene – Laurent Garnier is amongst his admirers.
