Serbia’s EXIT Festival have announced another slew of top acts to feature in the 2015 edition, which started out as a political student movement 15 years ago but has since morphed into one of Europe’s leading festivals, running over four nights from 9-12 July.
Electronic pioneer and visual artist Goldie will be performing on the main stage as part of the popular X-Bass takeover, which is done in collaboration with the global music platform UKF. His appearance marks the 20th anniversary of his seminal album Timeless. Fellow British drum n bass icon Roni Size will also be performing the night before alongside Rudimental, synth pop outfit Clean Bandit and London based DJ/producer Breakage.
Fresh off the back of his hit collaboration with Calvin Harris, British soul star and one of the today’s most in demand singers John Newman, has just been announced to perform on Saturday, 11th July on the Main Stage. The 24 year old singer-songwriter will present his British top chart breaking album Tribute along with equally impressive hit singles like Love Me Again, Losing Sleep, Cheating and Out Of My Head.
The festival’s inimitable Dance Arena, located in the disused moat of the stunning Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, will play host to some of the biggest names in dance music, from RA no.1 voted DJ Dixon to the hugely popular Italian duo Tale of US whose recent Essential Mix received critical acclaim. The newly established #TechnoThursday will feature the harder sounds of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Octave One, Nicole Moudaber and Chris Liebing, offsetting Saturday’s EDM/house line up which includes the likes of Martin Garrix, Hardwell, MK and up and coming Leeds-based producer wAFF.
Dance Arena headliners Faithless will round off the festival on Sunday night alongside Austria’s Klangkarussell and a b2b set featuring Roman Flugel and Simian Mobile Disco.
This year’s lineup is shaping up to be as varied and relevant as ever, with an abundance of British talent and some of the finest electronic acts in the world, new and old. You could do a lot worse than to bag yourself a ticket at the bargain price of £89 +BF. Accommodation in the picturesque town of Novi Sad is very reasonable, or you could brave it in the exceptionally fun, but rather hot, EXIT campsite. Book flights early to avoid the inevitable ramp in prices!
