HYDR8 X BANGANAGANGBANGERS – ‘Swift Seekers’ EP

Sitting somewhere in the middle of dubstep and grime, Hydr8 and Banganagangbangers new EP ‘Swift Seekers’ is a dubby fusion for the ages.

Pushing their own flavour of bass music onto the outer ring of The Netherlands, on their new EP the pair demonstrate a strong grasp on the fundamentals of what makes a belting club tune.

Released at the end of 2014 through Basserk Records, A-side ‘Run’ has had us in a vice since it flew into our inbox last month. Sampling from TC’s ‘Where’s My Money’ and Missy Elliot’s ‘Pass That Dutch’ (“run for cover mother fucker”), HYDR8 and BANGANAGANGBANGERS carefully insert little vocal clips to accentuate the hefty drops in this monstrous beat.

On the flip side is’Yup’, a climactic stormer filled with ticking snares, winding synth pads and strong grimy horn lines. Balanced out with weighty kicks and lashings of sub bass, this is another grimy smash that’s sure to set the dance floor alight!
