Guy J – ‘Candyland’ EP

Guy J is a DJ, producer and live act whose infectious production talents have found him highly in demand. Returning to John Digweed’s Bedrock with a track that has been a much-noted highlight in his DJ sets for months, Guy J’s ‘Candyland’ sees its official release alongside tracks ‘Once In A Blue Moon’ and ‘Lonely Color’ on the label next week.

The hotly anticipated ‘Candyland’ is the big crowd pleaser on this release. Having been part of Guy’s sets for some time, fans have been clamouring for its release. The track displays a restrained and euphoric sensual beauty, flowing forward with sweetly glimmering synths and minimal percussion. As ‘Candyland’ builds it weaves slowly and and seductively into a rising, euphoric anthem.

Followed by the enlivening ‘Once In A Blue Moon’ and the surging ‘Lonely Color’, Guy J delivers two further treats that have the power to transmit emotion and elevate the spirit. Whilst ‘Lonely Color is composed of a throbbing core and laced with enticingly subtle melodic flourishes, ‘Once In A Blue Moon’ creeps up on you with its soothing yet funky groove.
