Manchester’s Levelz drop much-anticipated third cypher with Dub Phizix

Manchester collective Levelz embody an enticing mix of forward-thinking bass music beats and bars: all provided by a group of extremely talented homegrown emcees, DJ’s and producers – many of whom have been making music and performing together for years.

Following a year that has seen them throw some huge raves, stir up excitement with two group cyphers on Youtube and tirelessly represent great Manchester music (one of many highlights includes their appearance on Spyro’s grime show on Rinse FM), it looks as though the collective might be about to step things up a gear.

Today they’ve dropped the much-anticipated third cypher with Dub Phizix, which has been held off for so long that rumours were circulating that it was just an urban myth. It doesn’t look like it’s just been filmed either, so we have to congratulate the guys for the marketing ploy: it’s definitely worked, we’re hyped!

Continuing in the vein of the past two cyphers, the third and final instalment features a group cypher cut together with home-shot videos of their antics both on and off stage: Skittles lets off some fire extinguishers, a few people dive into hedges, Chimpo and Strategy pull out some tidy dance moves. It’s all really amusing with some great music in there too.

With their ‘#LVL07’ mixtape set to drop in the nearish future, we can only guess that the intention behind dropping the third cypher now is to whet the appetite for their upcoming release. Either way, we’re already sold!

Check out the video now to see Dub Phizix at the controls whilst some of Manny’s best and brightest take turns going in on the mic.
