Some of the best new tunes fresh out this week (we reckon, anyway) include the Boys Noize Remix of Depeche Mode’s ‘My Little Universe’. It’s part of the Delta Machine EP that also includes Djedjotronic’s remix of ‘Alone’.
Dj Lion & Truemode bring us some driving tech house with ‘Unisex Dressing’ on Patent Skillz – a Bulgarian label, established in Sofia in 2012 and now based in Berlin. On a slightly more subdued but no less interesting note, Motions, AKA Brendan Neal, a Canadian living in London, drops ‘Fielded’ on a debut EP for Skream’s new label, Of Unsound Mind. The vinyl edition is out now and the digital version will be available early in July.
Turning on the techno taps a little, William Welt is back on 22 Digit Records with ‘Instinctive Behavior’, part of ‘The Swarm’ EP ,which also features William’s original track, ‘Hive Mind’, plus remixes from Tom Ellis and Inxec. Yet more techno elements laid over chunky house come couretesy of Carl Craig and his C2 Affected Remix ‘Arms Around’ by La Fleur, taken from her new EP on the Watergate label.
Lastly we’ve taken the title track from a new album by Rework, a trio of German deep and tech house producers who have been snapped up by Visionquest. ‘You Play’ is an awesome track but it’s one among several on a brilliant LP.
