Over the past few months we’ve frequently spotted hip hop / instrumental grime producer Mac Real out and about in Manchester with a small video camera continually glued to his palm. Turns out he’s been dedicatedly filming all his adventures, musical and otherwise, and this has now culminated in the release of a new Youtube show entitled ‘A Day In The Sub’.
Following the first episode, which featured an interview between long-standing collaborators Mac and Sleepy (also a part of the city’s BPM family) alongside clips from club nights and day-to-day happenings, the second episode comes forward with a few more familiar faces in tow.
Feeling slightly like a Manchester music scene reality show with appearances from Chunky, Darka, Madam X, Jenna G and more still; the new episode is cut through with shots from the BPM x AbSub party at London’s Bussey Building, studio sessions, Manchester carnival, Comic Con and more.
