Seven – ‘Seven’ LP

Uprise Audio head honcho and all-round dubstep heavyweight Seven has just dropped his eponymous LP.

Recognised as a key part of the dubstep community, both in the UK and on an international level, Edward ‘Seven’ Berry’s Uprise Audio has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2012.

With numerous chart-topping releases under their belts, including LSN’s ‘Apollo’ and Asylum’s ‘Native’, and continued support from fellow bass heavyweights Youngsta and J Kenzo amongst others, Uprise Audio have built up a strong reputation for themselves in a relatively short period of time.

Focusing on a dubstep sound that stays true to the genre’s roots whilst simultaneously encouraging innovation and supporting artists who push technical boundaries, Uprise are selective about what they release so when something new hits the inbox we’re always excited.

The imprint’s new release comes from the main man himself and continues in Uprise’s tradition of top-notch releases. Moving far beyond any expectations of a conventional dubstep album, ‘Seven’ merges cinematic influences with deep, meditative sounds to construct an overall project with shape and cohesion.

Highlights include opening track ‘Hypnotik’, hauntingly beautiful winder ‘Dust’ and an upbeat VIP of ‘Come To Play’ – which features sultry vocals from the lovely Alys Be and merges house and garage influences with a proper smooth bassline.
