Following a summer spent driving crowds wild with b2b sets at the likes of Hideout, EDC Vegas and Hi Ibiza, two of the hottest UK duos on the scene, Solardo and CamelPhat, now partner up to deliver their club-ready track ‘Accelerator’.
Dropping on Solardo’s very own Sola imprint, the production follows the pair’s recent release of ‘Be Somebody’, the infectious summer anthem which arrived during the duo’s summer residency at Hï Ibiza for Eric Prydz’s weekly Tuesday night series.
A rumbling primetime weapon packed with slick four-to-the-floor grooves, ‘Accelerator’ blends the warm driven styles of both acts, with gruff club-ready beats to create a monster floorfiller.
The production follows the release of CamelPhat’s hugely popular floorfiller ‘Dopamine Machine’, and arrives shortly before the British pair – made up of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala – drop their eagerly anticipated Cristoph collaboration ‘Breathe’, which has been the subject or rapturous crowd reaction throughout the White Isle this summer.
Having released EPs on Toolroom Records, Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations and Green Velvet’s Relief Records, Solardo’s Sola label has so far housed productions from the likes of CamelPhat, Secondcity, Mason Maynard and Will Easton. Serving as part of the recent SOLA050 celebration, the imprint sees future single releases lined up from Prok & Fitch, Del-30 and many more.
After selling out The Warehouse Project at the end of last year, Solardo kicked off 2018 with their second sold-out Solardo Sessions UK tour which also included European dates, as well as a relentless stint of shows in the States at the likes of Movement Detroit and EDC Las Vegas.
Touring and music aside, the duo have even found time to start their own radio show named ‘The Spot’ which has seen special guests come through such as Claude VonStroke, Nicole Moudaber, MK, Skream and many more. The support for Solardo has been consistently across the board and as solid as the bass weight their tracks possess.
At the end of September, the Mancunian act launched their new event series HIGHER at their hometown’s Warehouse Project, which saw sets from Claude VonStroke, Heidi, Paul Woolford, Dense & Pika, and De Al Swing. Following the successful launch, Solardo will bring another all-star cast to London’s Studio 338 venue – including Andrea Oliva and many more – on Saturday 10th November.
