Manchester-based producer FREnchfire steps up with a lush 40 minute mix to kick off our new mid-week mix series.
FREnchfire, aka Alex Lowther-Harris, creates ambient post-dub soundscapes with a twist: working in a variety of genres from house and future garage to dubstep, d&b and jungle. Part of the city’s Generic Greeting and M20 art collectives, he is both an artist and producer.
Having worked with numerous underground bass labels such as Sublimate Sounds, Basslight Records, Anti-Party Music, Future Grooves, Disturbing Noise, Silenced and Hot N Heavy, and received play outs and support from the likes of Eton Messy and Radio 1xtra, over the past few years FREnchfire has honed his technique and crafted his own distinctive sound.
All delivered in his own signature style, expect plenty of reverbed vocals and lo-fi crackles from this mix. Jam-packed with original productions, this is ambient electronica at it’s best.
