The new mixtape from Sticks, ‘Queen of Hearts’ will have your heart beating like a drum as it’s club beats will ensure you are on your feet, dancing like nobody’s watching.

Sticks, a twenty year old producer from Helsinki, keeps in tune with hip-hop and club music with a sound rooted in the stylings of Jersey Club and Bmore, as well as the synth-filled dubstep vibes of Joker’s productions. More recently drawing influence from the likes of Rustie, HudMo, Wave Racer and DJ Mustar, his music is what the label Top Billin Digital call “future club”: full of mind blowing melodies and delicious detail.

Top Billin Digital came around in 2006, gaining popularity from monthly club nights and mixtapes. Whilst they’re very serious about their music, Top Billin know how to mix it up and don’t just stick to one genre. With their roots deep in house and hip hop, they like to keep their music up-to-date and cutting-edge.

‘Hoes From The Photo’ is a real treat and ready to make it big! The contagious, up-tempo electro beats are present from the first second the track plays, making it easy to get into and instantly reeling you in. The track is infused with hip-hop vibes as the beat drops low and coolness oozes into your ears before picking up again with an electro club vibe that speeds things up. It is almost like a potion of hip-hip and electro, combined together to create this chemical reaction that explodes like a firework, making this a real banger!

If you are out at the weekend and want to let your hair down then this track is sure to get you in the mood. It has an infectious beat, yet an element of grime is lurking deep within the audio which gives it another dimension, making you need to listen twice.
On the whole, the ‘Queen of Hearts’ EP is executed very well. The tracks trail a similar pattern and the way they follow on from each other cleverly ensures each track is complimented.
