The Six – ‘Too Much Love’

The Six – ‘Too Much Love’

The 90’s dance vibe is strong with this masterstroke by brand new Manchester collective The Six. The track ‘Too Much Love’ has been released as a free download through Black Butter Records – the same independent record label who has brought forth the likes of Rudimental and Gorgon City to popular mainstream success. The Six are also set to feature on Gorgon City’s debut album ‘Sirens’, which drops next month.

This excellent chill-out tune by the group continues in the same rich vein of addictive sounds and similar styles to the likes of Gorgon City’s chart hit ‘Ready For You Love’ and smashes by Surrey’s very own familial duo Disclosure. ‘Too Much Love’ is a creation of harmonising velveteen vocals combined with an eclectic synthesized Balearic anthem: it is four and half minutes of luxurious listening. Just imagine hearing this tune as you’re witnessing the world famous sunset at Café Del Mar in Ibiza, couldn’t get any better right?!

Even though the summer has started it’s slow departure and the colder months approach, this is a song of exceptional production that could tail off the closing nights at various party islands across the world. Furthermore, the memorability of this ethereal beat and celestial vocals could benefit The Six in the long run; potentially associating this track as the last summertime hit of 2014, characteristically. Due the sublime style and glossy finish of this house number – in conjunction to the recent accomplishments of Black Butter Records discovering these talents within their label roster; which in turn blossoms their careers into chart prosperity – I expect ‘Too Much Love’ to receive some sort of radio airplay in the future and spring up in a fair few DJ sets between now and next summer!
