Amsterdam-based HEBE follows up the recent release of electro-pop single ‘Hunting Me’, with an intimate stripped-down version of the song, giving us a whole new vibe!
HEBE’s evocative vocals and absorbing melodies are the focus here – stripped down of all layers her lyrics take centre stage. The new version sees pianist and vocalist Ruben Hein on Rhodes piano, while HEBE shows her skills on Grand Piano,
“All my songs are born around the piano in my house,” explains HEBE. “When I started working in the studio with Huub Reijnders, Martijn Bosman and Ruben Hein we’ve added all kinds of layers, grooves and production sounds. With this acoustic version, I want to show the way I wrote the song, purely focusing on the lyrics.”
Previously released EPs ‘The Beginning’ and the internationally acclaimed ‘Tell Me’, have garnered upwards of a million streams on Spotify, and have seen support from international tastemakers including The 405, Impose Magazine, Noctis Magazine, Earmilk, Vice and Music Week, whilst receiving airplay from Hoxton Radio, Fubar Radio and Reprezent Radio.
Hunting Me’ is taken from HEBE debut album ‘Cards On The Table’ planned for release in Spring 2020.
