PLAYLIST TAKEOVER: Whartone Records

This week it’s the turn of Sonny Wharton’s widely acclaimed label Whartone to showcase some of the best sounds it has to offer.

Whartone Records is a forward-thinking and continually evolving electronic music label, designed to give some of the industry’s freshest most exciting producers a platform to develop.

As well as being the main hub for Sonny Wharton’s solo productions, Whartone has also released music from industry stalwarts Paul Thomas, Mark Trophy, Ant Brooks and Richard Dinsdale, while consistently making an impact in the download charts, which it has done from the word go.

The label has been heavily supported by the likes of Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg, Tiesto, Sebastian Ingrosso, Paul Van Dyk, Mark Knight, Tom Middleton, Roger Sanchez and Hernan Cattaneo. It has also received extensive airplay on Radio 1, Kiss FM and Galaxy Network, among others.
