The imprint EJ Underground was formed in October 2012, primarily to help develop the music careers of deserving electronic artists. It wasn’t long before the guys behind the brand were launching genre-specific record labels and entering the event management business.
The company is headed up Paul Sawyer, an established DJ/promoter who, during the past two decades, has organised a huge number of events, hosting the likes of Carl Cox, The Prodigy, Sasha and John Digweed. Paul himself has performed at clubs and events such as Ministry of Sound, Bedrock, Miss Moneypennys, B’estfest, Pulse Festival, Slinky and Clockwork Orange.
Paul has now joined forces with Endemic Digital’s Darren Braddick; together they run five Record labels within the group – EJ Underground Records, Endemic Digital, Sounds Of Juan, Unrivaled Music and the new imprint releasing deep tech house and techno, Krafted Records.
With more than thirty artists signed to the EJ Underground label worldwide, the group has gained huge support from numerous high-profile DJs, getting countless hours of airplay at festivals and live venues across the globe. The label has also gained considerable recognition within the music press.
