While most of us are looking to the summer, Finnish duo Out of Fuel have put together an EP of wintry beats which are hard enough not to melt in the sun.
Returning to Translation Recordings with the Isolation EP, Out of Fuel show that they are masters of atmospherics, unleashing swirling pads under frostbitten percussion for four tracks of pristine sci-fi bassweight which occupy the dark side of drum & bass, blending pounding half-time with skittering hats and sparse snares.
A prowling remix of the duo’s 2016 track ‘Ghosts’ rounds off the record, straight from the fingers of Hypersensitivity.
