A journey to the heart of the future, via the past – time has no bearing on the amble through this electronic musical ensemble. We are transported to a world straight out of space age vaults.
An eclectic mix of stripped-back tones and sup’d up organs, 808 percussion guaranteed. A buzz cuts through the comfort zone and builds gently to rottweiler synths and hypnotic drums. Epic bass-scapes perforated with crisp rimshots and writhing synths in a mix that evolves through heavy atmospheres; future garage, electro dub.
Acidity levels climb as the unmistakable voice of Roland Clark rises from the flames like a phoenix of techno to take the mix in a new direction for the second half. We delve deeper into the mix with a laidback cherry on the cake in the form of a subtle Chicago twist.
Expect murky corners, sharp turns and wild stabs in the dark. This mix certainly ain’t no walk in the park, despite the serenity it leaves you with in the final moments.
