Momentum DJs have joined forces with long-standing promoter AList London to bring prominent Italian tech house label, 303 Lovers, to Plan B in Brixton for its very first official UK party.
Kicking off on March 30th, the event will see label owners Manuel De La Mare (pictured) and Luigi Rocca take over the prestigious club’s main room for an exclusive four-hour set that will mark Momentum’s fourth birthday. It will also celebrate 303 Lovers’ fifth year in business as one of the most forward-thinking labels on the tech house scene, championing the likes of Paolo Mojo, Wally Lopez and fellow label co-owner, Alex Kenji.
A string of heavyweight cuts by the likes of Rob Mirage and Piatto has put 303 Lovers squarely in the limelight recently, while De La Mare and Rocca’s own releases on the label, such as the techno stormer ‘Across the Universe’, have led to sellout crowds for their joint DJ gigs. These have included sets at Montreal’s New City Gas and Ministry of Sound, where they played their last UK date on NYE. The duo’s latest single, ‘Azul’, was released earlier this month and has been charted by Gabriel Rocha and Hightech, among others.
“I cannot wait to hit Plan B with the 303 Lovers family next month,” said Manuel De La Mare. “The vibe in London is electric at the moment, so Luigi and I are really looking forward to getting back there, especially after the amazing reception we got on New Year’s Eve. It’s going to be immense.”
Naturally enough, Momentum DJs themselves will also be giving Plan B’s highly regarded Funktion-One sound system a workout, along with Hilton Caswell (Spinning Quickly, Ministry of Sound, SW4), Ben Prince (What Matters), Katie Cooper and Mike Peters.
Backed by this heavyweight team of promoters and DJs, it’s certain to be an occasion fit for a fast-rising label such as 303 Lovers. And with no plans to turn the sound down until 8am, it’s set to be one of the most relentless parties the club has hosted in recent times.
