TNG’s favourite addition to the Rainbow family Next Door have teamed up with Mixmag to offer the biggest techno weekender Birmingham has ever seen – the Mixmag Live Weekender comes to Digbeth this weekend!
Friday kicks off with the first ever visit to Birmingham from the almighty Zoo Project. With an intimate capacity of just 350, don’t risk missing out on this moment in rave history by waitingto buy on the door; we’d hate to see you disappointed. With headliners like Pedestrian, Medlar and Rainbow regulars Shadow City, we wouldn’t hedge our bets on this one not selling out.
If you’ve not yet experienced Next Door, brace yourself for 3D visuals and a mind-blowingly crisp exclusive custom fitted Martin Audio sound system. The venue, which opened only earlier this year, has already played host to the legendary Sasha, Doc Scott and Loxy. As an added incentive (as if the line up isn’t enough), the first 200 entrants will receive discounted entry to the after party. The first 300 will also receive exclusive Blackdot membership cards – a perfect reward for the regulars (and believe us, you will want to go back).
Think you’ve got stamina? Head to The Textiles Factory from 2pm Saturday for the main event, presented by Mixmag. Blackdot celebrates unrivalled success in the city with 12 and a half hours of tech house from the likes of Dubfire, Apollonia and local sensation Adam Shelton to name a few.
Not for the faint hearted and most certainly not for the Monday morning workers, the party continues from 2:30am until 7am back at Next Door. Ritchie Hawtin protégées Whyt Noyz headline this very special closing party.
Set times for Saturday’s main event are as follows:
Bunny & Lopaski – 12 – 2:00
Lewis Oxley – 2:00 – 3:30
Adam Shelton – 3:30-5:30
Enzo Siragusa – 5:30-7:30
Apollonia – 7:30-10:30
Rhadoo – 10:30-12:30
Dubfire – 12:30- 2.30
