Widely acclaimed Dutch DJ and producer Marc Benjamin has unveiled his melodic remix of quirky production duo WESLEE’s popular hit ‘Sweat Dreams.’
With WESLEE – made up of US born Josh, and English vocalist Emma – racking up 3 million streams on the original, Marc’s synth-led rework focuses on zippy chords and upbeat, bouncy chord patterns which add a real feel-good vibe to the production.
Following Marc Benjamin’s breakthrough in 2013 via his Beatport Top 10 hit ‘Riser’ on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings, the producer has since gained a wealth of support from Laidback Luke, collaborating with the legendary DJ on ‘We’re Forever’ and releasing a string of hits on Luke’s MixMash label.
With his productions receiving backing from the likes of Tiesto, Steve Angello, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Marc Benjamin’s DJ sets are celebrated for their unique original main room sounds, with the Dutchman adding the likes of Ministry of Sound London, Tomorrowland and a 5 year weekly residency at Escape – Amsterdam’s largest club – on his back-catalogue of performances.
Previously proving his skills as a remixer on Grammy Award-winning producer Zedd’s Selena Gomez collaboration ‘I Want You To Know,’ Marc has since released on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings and Hardwell’s Revealed imprint.
With WESLEE establishing themselves as the one of the most refreshing and uniquely dynamic acts in today’s music scene, the pair catapulted themselves into the mainstream eye with debut track ‘Gassed’, which was the subject of high critical acclaim. The duo scored a wealth of support from industry heavyweights such as BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong & Danny Howard, with follow up-track ‘Bathwater’ further recognised by Annie Mac, Mistajam and Huw Stephens.
Marc Benjamin’s ‘Sweat Dreams’ remix is set to drop on Friday December 14th.
