The Love Theme returns with ‘Bangkok State of Mind’

The Love Theme continues its diverse and multicultural journey via the vibrant, energetic streets ofThailand’s capital with the release of ‘Bangkok State of Mind’.

Unmistakably a work of four-to-the-floor electronic dance music (yet without adhering to the style of EDM by any stretch of the imagination) ‘Bangkok State of Mind’ is a fascinatingly paradoxical fusion of driving late-night beats and bass-infused beach vibes, finished off with some silky but suitably electronic Thai vocals. Its an energetic piece, designed to take you on a tour of The Love Theme’s “nucleus accumbens” – known to lesser mortals as the brain’s pleasure centres.

Dominic Owen, AKA The Love Theme, began his early days in High Class Studios, Brooklyn, where he sourced, created and produced a heavyweight collection timeless beats for the likes of Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Nas, Lil Kim and a whole host of other Hip Hop royalty, putting his signature on classic LPs like ‘Ready to Die’ – records that are still on repeat in the bedrooms of kids who weren’t even born when that album dropped.

Having returned to London and set about working in his very own studio which he built from scratch, Dominic continues to be a force within the electronic music – but a force for change and innovation within the genre, bringing fresh ideas in the hope of changing the way we think about dance music.

‘Bangkok State of Mind’ will be released on April 21st though Permanent Damage Records.
