Indie five-piece Krooked Kings came into formation through a college-cocktail of beers and bonding, having discovered mutual interests that stray between classic rock and more commercial indie bands. After taking their interests into rehearsal rooms, the band was born. The fresh-faced fivesome write a refreshing brand of guitar-led anthems, this time via ‘Fool’s Gold’. The track is a multi-layered triumph with a liberating narrative, that is discussed by frontman Oli Martin:
“After spending all this time coming to that simple realization, it’s really freeing to have that person out of your headspace”
Described as ‘landlocked beach rock’, the boys hail from Salt Lake City and are made up of singer/songwriter Oliver Martin, guitarist Paul Colgan, synth wizard Dave Macey and serial chiller/bassist Matt Monoson. The eclectic band has built a loyal following through their energetic live sets and down-to-earth, not-taking-themselves-too-seriously internet persona.
We can’t wait to hear whats on the horizon for these boys.
