Danish noir-pop supernova Kill J debut studio album ‘Superposition’ is finally out on Nettwerk Records.
Working with UK producer Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Lana del Rey, Ellie Goulding), ‘Superposition’ is a theatrical science-inspired record, featuring KIll J’s whistle register, plenty of electronics, buoyant drums, and noir Scandi-pop hooks.
The album’s title is a nod to the superposition theory, which explores the idea of multiverse theories. KIll J visited CERN –The European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, in preparation for the album. Outside of science, the full length is also a journey through her personal and professional life. On ‘Dead Weight Soldier ’, she kills off a fictional A&R in a revenge fantasy – and in ‘Strange Fruits of the Sea’, she tackles the urgent and timely issues of immigration and racism. Her most recent single ‘Moon Sick’, is a slow-burning future-pop jam, in which her vocals have room to breathe, delivering a jaw-dropping performance.
‘Superposition’ is a captivating new release and we stan a queen that doesn’t compromise to the music industry standards.
