Gatecrasher Ibiza – Full Line Ups Announced!

Gatecrasher Ibiza – Full Line Ups Announced!

In case you haven’t heard, British dance brand Gatecrasher has taken over Eden Ibiza for what promises to be an impressive first season, covering all bases genre-wise for a seven-day-a-week dance music marathon.

When I first went to Ibiza, I had the misfortune of being imprisoned in San Antonio bay for the whole four days (partly because I didn’t know any better). My first Ibiza experience was Eden – I was presented with a scene resembling that of Requim for a Dream. You know, the one right at the end. I won’t violate you with the details.

Gatecrasher Ibiza is not the same. 3 million euro’s worth of not the same.

With LED lights to rival those of Norway and a sound system with volume second only to that of a moving plane, the club formerly known as the Devil’s Apple has come a long way in recent months.

Gatecrasher first opened their doors to a sell out crowd on 29 May, and with the line up looking like it is, TNG recommends you get your tickets in advance of your trip to Ibiza – from just 30 Euros they’re an absolute steal.

It wouldn’t be Gatecrasher without a bit of trance, which is why Crasher is returning to Gatecrasher to provide you with your fix. Eddie Halliwell, Aly & Fila and the legendary Chicane are all hitting the island this summer, alongside Radio 1’s Danny Howard and John O’Callaghan.

London’s premier underground night Creche joins Gatecrasher on the White Isle on Tuesdays for what is set to be the most credible night on the island this summer. Creche was set up in London by Cozzy D and Alexis Raphael, who will naturally be residents at the Gatecrasher edition. Headliners include Breach, Tensnake, Tiga, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Ben Pearce and Gorgon City.

Liverpool’s infamous Garlands night Bedlam will be taking over on Wednesdays from 4 June, hosted by Barry Mac for the home-away-from-home appeal. Expect a colourful evening, very little sleep and a tonne of memories (or not, as most would have it at Bedlam).

Thursdays is quite possibly the most diverse and exciting line up Ibiza’s seen yet. If, like me, you love the Ibiza way of life but miss your dubstep over there, fear no more. Mistajam’s renowned Speakerbox night gives the island perhaps the only thing it is lacking. With artists such as Zinc, Shy FX, Jaguar Skills and Major Lazer’s Jillionaire, all of our bassy little prayers have been answered. Amen to that, Mister J!

Fridays are El Carnaval – a brand new night designed specifically to echo the Vegas character of Gatecrasher Ibiza’s design. Size residents AN21, Max Vangeli and Third party lead the way for the season, with Fedde Le Grand and Michael Woods joining them along the way.

Kisstory on Saturdays is hosted by Kiss FM, taking you on a rewind through time with headliners such as MJ Cole, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Wideboys and Hatcha (with a real blast to the past thrown in for good measure with Dane Bowers and Shola Ama).

Sunday is Gatecrasher Presents. Afrojack will headline the opening night, bringing with him his Jacked night. Dutch house brothers Showtek will also be making an appearance (although we doubt they’ll be bringing their record bags from early 2000, which is somewhat alluring in a rubber-necking-to-the-past sort of way).
