Festival Guide: Electric Daisy Carnival

Festival Guide: Electric Daisy Carnival

Las Vegas’ world famous festival Electric Daisy Carnival  returns to the UK for the second year running on 12-13 July, and the lineup is insane!

With tickets already selling fast and last year’s event selling out, EDC 2014 is not to be missed. The festival boasts state-of-the-art production and special effects, with the UK’s most impressive LEDs, pyrotechnics, costumes and theatrical performers – bringing a taste of Vegas to the heart of the country.

Milton Keynes Bowl is an impressive venue on its own, but EDC smashes all visual boundaries whilst providing the very best in electronic music. We’ve put together a handy guide so that you can get lost in the music and absorb the atmosphere; and believe us when we say you WILL get lost in the music!

The latest and perhaps the most exciting addition to the star-studded line up is none other than DJ Mag number one Hardwell, followed closely by third-placed Avicii, number six Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, number seven Nicky Romero, number eight Steve Aoki, and, well – you get the idea. In fact, if we didn’t know any better, we’d think that this was the DJ Mag Top 100 auditioning session!

EDC is not all about American superstars: the Brits are doing quite well on the line up as well. Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, Gorgon City and Route 94 are just some of the British big boys you can expect to see at EDC. Check out Calvin Harris’ mix below from EDC New York just last month.

The beauty with Electric Daisy Carnival is that there’s something for everyone, so if you think you’re going to have to sacrifice your drum and bass for the weekend, you’re happily mistaken. Pendulum and Sigma will be performing in the Cosmic Meadow on the Sunday, so you really don’t have any more excuses not to get online and book now, do you?

Third release tickets are still on sale via Ticketmaster (I know, we can’t believe your luck either!), but hurry – last year’s event sold out, and it’s only a matter of days (or more importantly, one payday) before 2014 sells out too.
