Fast-rising UK talent Yatez delivers rhythmic new single ‘Top Striker’

Fresh from supporting Jaykae on his UK tour, Birmingham rapper Yatez has delivered his slick new track ‘Top Striker’, a homage to ballers past and present.

The track follows his recent anthem ‘Do For Your Love’, and shows Yatez’ versatility by switching up the vibe with a heavy rap song blessed with an old skool feel.

Often recognised for his soulful guitar sounds and catchy bass lines. ‘Top Striker’ references a number of football-related analogies, paying tribute to Arsenal star, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, as well as past footballing legends Alan Shearer, Paul Scholes, and Roy Keane.

Developing his own style, blending rap with melody over eclectic production, Yatez prides himself on being involved in the production of his music, not just writing and singing, with his personally penned lyrics taking inspiration from elements found in soul, reggae, Rock, RnB, Rap, hip-hop and grime.

Citing artists such as Stevie Wonder, Tupac, J Cole, Drake, Skepta, Wretch 32, Sizzla and Oasis as his earliest idols, Yatez has received a wide range of backing so far in his career, dropping his 18 track ‘Local’ album in 2017; a gateway into support from BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Charlie Sloth, and Jamal Edwards (SBTV).

With the Birmingham-born talent continuing to rise meteorically, ‘Top Striker’ is out now!
