The names of Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz, two iconic EDM producers, have been reverberating across social media this week in an attempt to find out if a possible collaboration will happen.
Both Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz have been scheduled to perform at ‘HARD Day of the Dead 2014’ in Pomona, California on November 1st – the first of a two day event, the line up of which is massive and includes big names such as Knife Party, Diplo, Calvin Harris, Zedd and Bassnectar all headlining the bill. The intriguing part of this booking is that Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz are appearing on stage at the same time compiling a back-to-back set, an awesome spectacle to witness for sure!
Both artists have been teasing their fans across Twitter and Facebook about the possibility of them spending some studio time together on a new project over the coming months. Eric Prydz further cemented this joining of forces, accompanying one of his Facebook statuses on the subject with a cleverly edited image which merged the logos of Prydz’ ‘Mouseville’ label with Deadmau5’ ‘mau5trap’ to form ‘mau5-ville’.
Hopefully this alliance, ignited at the ‘HARD Day of the Dead’ event, will be the spark in creating a future fusion of thrilling electro house collaborations from the duo. Stay tuned and watch this space!
