Hot on the heels of the first Encounter earlier this month, Erupted Events is getting ready to present another spectacular electronic music showcase at a new secret location in London next Saturday, June 7th. The second in a brand new series of monthly events, Encounter number two will welcome a fresh set of world-class minimal house and techno artists, promising to bring with them the very best grooves the scene has to offer.
Top of the bill is the inimitable Robert Babicz from Cologne, Germany. Often credited with the ability to perceive music on four-dimensional level, Babicz will be on stage to perform a highly expressive live set, transcending genres to deliver the sound that has become known worldwide simply as BabiczStyle – the kind of vibe that fills and drives every space in the room with a rolling cloud of melodic rhythm (check out a recent BabiczStyle mix on the Soundcloud player, below). Babicz’ musical output is staggering and inspiring. A one-man operation, he writes, records and performs solo throughout an ever-expanding touring schedule, tailoring the music he creates to the cities he visits. His June 7th show will be no different – entirely bespoke and crafted especially for London.
From the USA, Butane, the head honcho of record labels Alphahouse and Little Helpers will be flying in to throw down some the most cutting edge house and techno cuts. Encountered is also delighted to welcome Easy Changes, an outstanding duo direct from Moscow’s scintillating underground scene. They are the force behind the avant-garde Russian-based label, Nervmusic, and will be performing a back-to-back set underpinned by a unique symbiosis of suspense, rhythmical patterns and mysterious sounds.
Assurances are that the event will once again be set in a spectacular location that will allow an element of finesse and sophistication to meet the atmosphere of a raw underground party; a combination that creates a clubbing experience seldom encountered – perhaps lending the event its name. There is no dress code and the organisers simply request that partygoers relax, be themselves, enjoy the high-end sound system & production and expect the unexpected.
