And the way of the Techno Samurais continues with yet another solo sword art. This time by master samurai and DAMN! co-founder Negativ Dekadent. Having a long career in electronic music under his real name, he here appears under his nom de guerre Negative Dekadent, a term coined by the East German Stasi to describe dissenting individuals. Now Dekadenz fights back with a vengeance, since Negativ is the new positive, according to Marx, but also to the old sword masters who beat their enemies with moves that would go against convention…

“We Put Some Energy Into This Place!” certainly does just that – twisting, shifting, threatening and pulsing, building into a throbbing dancefloor juggernaut. “Simit” brings an air of malevolence – dark and insistent, this is a slab of bleeping techno built for nocturnal adventures.

DESTROY ALL MONSTERS
Four masked techno ronins from Berlin and Shanghai who vowed to destroy the monsters of late electronic music’s uniformity. Hence, Destroy All Monsters, the label was born. The founding members share many years of diverse (electronic) music backgrounds, some of them made a name for themselves in underground circles, some are semi glorious, some completely unknown – here, they are nothing but determined, dealing with their artistic (and other) demons, performing as DJs, and live-acts.
The label is cut out as an outlet for what the founders believe contemporary Techno should sound like – weird, rather interesting, open for influences from other genres, unforeseeable at times, not repeating the known formulas, or using them in another context. Simply moving too fast to be put in a gift box by that ambitious enemy called commercialisation, who may suffer many surprising destructions.
