Hot on the heels of its triumphant first festival, Amsterdam promoter Dekmantel is to host no less than four parties at the Amsterdam Dance Event next month.
Held on consecutive evenings from October 17th to 20th, the events will take place at home of Dekmantel’s regular club nights, MC Theater and adjacent North See Jazz Club (NSJC) at Westergasfabriek, a former factory complex in an industrial area of northwest Amsterdam.
In recent years, Dekmantel has begun to been build a solid reputation as a highly regarded promoter of ‘purist’ house and techno events, becoming known for their vision of keeping the underground alive. The minimalist nature of their approach, however, does not extend to sound system arrangements and, as always, partygoers at the ADE shindigs can expect a perfectly-tuned Funktion-One rig.
Thursday, October 17th, sees Crew Love take control of proceedings with Sound Clap and Wolf + Lamb manning the decks, alternated with live shows from Pillowtalk and No Regular Play. At the NSJC Todd Terje and Prins Thomas spin an eight-hour set together.
Dekmantel regular, Joy Orbison, will return on Friday, October 18th, alongside two of the most prolific underground labels – New York-based label L.I.E.S. and London’s Hessle Audio, each of which will bring their respective crews to MC Theater. Omar S, MM/KM (Kassem Mosse + Mix Mup) and Anthony Naples will play the NSJC.
For Saturday, October 19th, an all-star house line-up will grace MC Theater, including, among others, Nina Kraviz, Moodymann, Bicep, Vakula and Juju & Jordash.
Ostgut Ton fans will find it difficult to resist Dekmantel’s ADE closing party on Sunday, October 20th. For a 12-hour extravaganza, Berghain residents such as Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Steffi, Luke Slater and many more will help see off ADE 2013 in spectacular fashion.
Naturally enough, Dekmantel co-founder and resident, Thomas Martojo, will be making a number of appearances throughout the four days. For an idea of what to expect from him, check out his live set below, recorded at MC Theater during last year’s ADE.
