Coldabank, the Bristol-born DJ, producer and singer, just released two remixes of ‘Take Me Back,’ a synthy favourite that soundtracked the summer for many. The artist commissioned fellow Brits Sammy Porter and Jansons to recreate the record each with their unique influence.
First up on the two-piece release is Sammy Porter’s rework. A dancefloor heater, the track kicks off with a hard-hitting beat accompanied by explosive synth progressions. Porter, who signed with Mistajam’s Speakerbox Records via Insanity Records/Sony Music UK earlier this year, seamlessly contorts Coldabank’s vocals to deeper levels.
Joining Sammy Porter on the EP, we have rising London DJ and producer, Jansons. A tribal inflection weaves itself throughout the track as hand drums stir up a warm rhythm. With bubbling bass lines and Coldabank’s signature breathy vocals, Jansons has created a sunset sizzler. Over the years, he has received support from the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Butch, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Carl Cox and more.

Having engineered for Tiny Tempah, remixed for Charli XCX and Rudimental, DJ’d with Labrinth and developed his own discography, Coldabank’s career has taken him down many artistic avenues.
