While it may seem excessive to have a quintet of lineups, Rakastella does not dissapoint with its fifth and final lineup. Celebrating its third year at Art Basel Miami, the 16-hour party will return to its home at Historic Virginia Key Beach for on December 7.
The co-founder of both Life and Death and Rakastella, DJ Tennis was finally added to the billing, securing the appearance of all event founders. Making their debuts at the coastal event are fabric favorite Call Super and Manchester Warehouse Project resident Or:la.
This group adds to an already impressive lineup, listed in alphabetical order below: Ame (Live), Aurora Halal, Ben UFO, Danny Daze, Dixon, DJ Minx, Eclair Fifi, Jayda G, John Talabot, KiNK (Live), Marie Davidson, Mor Elain, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Oona Dahl, Palms Trax, Soul Clap, Tara Brooks and Will Renuart.
It seems as if Rakastella is taking a more wholesome approach to its curation in a variety of ways. Nine female artists are set to play – a remarkable number and ratio compared to most festival lineups. The beachy soiree will also emphasize its impact on the local ecosystem and implement programs to minimize its carbon footprint as much as possible. Sustainable measures such as the ban of single-use plastic, litter patrol and post-event beach cleanups are claimed to take place throughout the event.
Rakastella is on the forefront of a new type of event – one that totally immerses attendees with ammenities that stimulate all the senses, soundtracked by some of the top selectors in the world.
