Benedict refuses to be a bystander when it comes to breaking down division in society, something which is majorly apparent on their new single ‘Wake Up’. Thought-provoking and lyrically powerful, the track uses cinematic strings and heartbeat-esque beats to amplify their message for an anthem that can be sung as people ‘march to their freedom’.
Benedict shares: “Wake Up is a people’s anthem. I saw a need to speak out for all peoples, all nations with the shocking things we have witnessed over the last few years, through government issues, wars, COVID-19, Black Lives Matter and injustices for the LGBTGIA+ community. We all fight one another, but what is the truth? The truth is that we are all human. If we can come together, break down fear, lies, and fight the division, we will be free.”
Benedict’s vocals are quietly powerful, ebbing and flowing in whispers and thick, layered harmonies. As Benedict refuses to be silent, it’s safe to say we’ll be hearing more of their empowering and inspirational messages over the coming years.
